There are several neighborhoods to consider, whether you want to be closer to the stadium yourself or just nearer to the crucial King’s rail line that gets you to the game without having to worry about parking. Looking for other great neighborhoods in Seattle? Read more about Seattle’s best neighborhoods, or Seattle’s safest neighborhoods.

SoDo

“SoDo” used to be a primarily industrial neighborhood. This area is currently going through a renaissance that includes great food, shopping, music, and proximity to the two big sports fields in town, of course! Besides games, you can find a surprisingly wide variety of food options, from BBQ to Pho. Easy access to both the highways and public transportation make this centrally-located area a great place to buy or rent in. Bonus: Seattle’s most famous outdoor gear company (Outdoor Recreation) is located in this area!

Georgetown

Georgetown is a great neighborhood for not only sports enthusiasts, but beer connoisseurs as well! This area is actually one of the oldest parts of the city, and has a high concentration of historic taverns due to (now abolished) liquor laws that forbade alcohol in Seattle’s original town limits. Besides these taverns, there are now microbreweries and cocktail bars alike. Like SoDo, this was a primarily industrial/”day use” area of the city, but the neighborhood is currently seeing a bohemian resurgence due to comparatively affordable rent in converted lofts and other reclaimed spaces. Georgetown is now the bustling home of formerly-abandoned factories that have been converted into great restaurants, salons, art spaces, and more!
